Philippine Tourism Showcased in Ottawa Travel Show

12 March 2010 - The Philippine Embassy in Canada reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that the Philippines successfully participated in the Vacation and Travel Show held on March 6-7 at the Lansdowne Park in Ottawa.

Philippine Tourism Representative in New York Emma Ruth Yulo joined Philippine Ambassador to Canada Jose S. Brillantes and Cultural Attache Buenaflor K. Cruz to spearhead the Philippine participation in the well-attended and successful event.

The country showcased its beautiful tourism destinations in a booth with Palawan as the main backdrop attraction. The Chocolate Hills in Bohol, the Banaue Rice Terraces, the Philippines 7,107 Islands and Manila and its Environs were also displayed in the Philippine booth.

The booth also distributed brochures and tourism and information materials on the world-class tourist sites in the country.

The Philippine participation was also highlighted by a one-hour tourist information seminar during the show which was well-attended by interested guests including honeymooners, retirees, businessmen and students.  END
