Budapest Apostolic Nuncio1

03 December 2013 – Archbishop Alberto Botteri de Castello, Apostolic Nuncio to Hungary, officiated the mass held at the Philippine Embassy in Budapest on December 01 for the victims and families affected by typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan). The mass was attended by members of the Filipino community in Budapest, some of whom came together with their Hungarian spouses. Spanish Ambassador and Madame Enrique Pastor de Gana also attended.

In his homily, Archbishop Botteri de Castello expressed his personal grief and solidarity with the Filipino people, as well as that of the Vatican especially the concern of His Holiness Pope Francis for the welfare and well-being of those affected.  END
