The Office of Legal Affairs is responsible for providing legal assistance to the Secretary of Foreign Affairs on matters concerning the interpretation and application of Philippine laws and regulations, treaties, conventions and other international agreements. It is also responsible for assisting the negotiation of treaties and international agreements and assists the Board of Foreign Service Administration in the investigation and prosecution of administrative cases involving the personnel of the Department.
