DFA Adopts New Gender and Development Agenda for 2023-2028

PASAY 09 March 2023 – In celebration of National Women’s Month and International Women’s Day 2023, the Department of Foreign Affairs adopted its new Gender and Development (GAD) Agenda for CY 2023 to 2028, at a signing ceremony led by the Secretary for Foreign Affairs and the GAD Focal Point System Agency Head Enrique A. Manalo on Wednesday, 08 March 2023.

The DFA GAD Agenda is the strategic framework and plan on gender mainstreaming, which shall serve as the Department’s basis for identifying and implementing its priority Programs, Activities, and Projects (PAPs) to achieve its GAD goals and outcomes for the 6-year period.

The Secretary for Foreign Affairs reiterated DFA’s full commitment towards a more resilient, responsive, and inclusive foreign service; where women and men equally contribute to and benefit from the achievement of development goals, and fully enjoy their human rights. END
