Travel Advisory: On the New Travel Restrictions of Brunei Darussalam

26 March 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) informs the public that beginning 24 March 2020, the Government of Brunei Darussalam imposed a temporary travel ban on the entry of all foreign nationals to the Sultanate as part of the containment measures to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The travel ban, which includes foreign nationals who are transiting through Brunei Darussalam, will be implemented at entry points (airports, seaports and land borders) and will be in effect until further notice.

Travelers intending to travel to Brunei, or workers intending to return to Brunei, are strongly encouraged to suspend and forego their travel in the meantime, and advised to contact their airline company to avoid any unnecessary inconveniences.

The DFA reminds the Filipino public to remain vigilant and accurately informed as countries/territories impose and/or adjust travel restrictions that may affect Filipino travelers. END
