Public Advisory: Updates on Travel Restrictions Imposed upon Filipino Travelers by some countries in Asia and the Pacific, Europe

PASAY CITY 11 October 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reports new updates on travel restrictions imposed by some countries in Asia and the Pacific and in Europe.

While general inbound border restriction is still being implemented in Japan, transit is now allowed, and those permitted entry are subject to medical protocols and procedures. Similarly, those who are exempt from entry restrictions imposed by Bosnia and Herzegovina and Russia are now subject to strict medical protocols such as presentation of negative COVID-19 test result, mandatory screenings, among others.

Meanwhile, Ukraine has opened its borders to travelers, including Filipinos, subject to flight availability and medical protocols.

The DFA continues to remind the public that information contained in the infographics is subject to change without prior and sufficient public notice. Therefore, it is always best to check ahead of travel dates with airlines, as well as with relevant Embassies or Consulates before booking a ticket and before departure. END
