We just concluded a fact-finding consultation with the Heads of Posts (HOPs) of Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong. We are happy that these three Posts do not have reports of sex-related offenses committed by Post personnel against wards in their respective Filipino Workers Resource Centers (FWRCs). The management of the FWRCs in these Posts appears to be adequately protective of the wards.

On the basis of the consultations that we had with the HOPs from the Middle East and North Africa as well as from Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong, we will be coming up with recommendations to be submitted to the President and to the Department of Labor and Employement (DOLE) on best policies and practices covering the management and operations of FWRCs.
