DFA Consular Office in General Santos City Assists LGU, DOT XII in the Repatriation of Stranded Foreign Nationals

GENERAL SANTOS 01 June 2020 – The DFA Consular Office in General Santos (GenSan) City successfully assisted the Local Government Unit (LGU) – GenSan Tourism Office and Department of Tourism (DOT) 12 in facilitating the transport of stranded foreign nationals to join the US sweeper repatriation flight in Davao City.

Passengers of said repatriation flight were fetched from five various assembly points within Region 12. A total of 42 stranded foreign nationals from GenSan City joined the land trip to Davao City where they departed for Manila via Philippine Airlines on 26 May 2020.

The repatriation flight carried American, Australian, Kiwi, Kuwaiti, Thai, Bahraini, Fil-Canadian and Filipino nationals. END
