DFA Welcomes Home 329 Filipino Crew of the Liberty of the Seas

PASAY CITY 08 June 2020 — At 5:00 PM, a plane carrying 329 Filipino seafarers were met by officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), together with RCCL Crew Management Inc., the crew's local manning agency.

Royal Caribbean Cruises, in coordination with the Philippine Embassy in Washington D.C., arranged the said repatriation.

Representatives of the Department of Health, Bureau of Quarantine, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Department of Transportation, Philippine Coast Guard and Manila International Airport Authority joined in welcoming the repatriates.

All 329 Filipinos underwent the appropriate airport medical protocols and will undergo the mandatory 14-day quarantine as required by DOH-BOQ. END
