DFA Charters Flight For 323 Filipinos From Qatar
PASAY CITY 09 July 2020 —True to its promise, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) successfully brought home a total of 323 Overseas Filipinos from Qatar.
To date, the said Philippine Airlines flight is the third chartered flight from Qatar which was organized by the DFA. It landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at around 9:24 a.m. The DFA dispatched a team who warmly welcomed our kababayans home.
The 323 Filipino repatriates also underwent the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health. They were required to undergo quarantine procedures in accordance with the omnibus guidelines established by the Interagency Task Force.
Concurrently, the DFA is facilitating a total of 19 flights this month of July, including four flights arriving in Clark every Friday.
The whole-of-nation approach to repatriation involves the DFA coordinating with the Philippine National Police, Philippine Coast Guard, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), DOH and the DILG. END (Photos by DFA-OUMWA)
