MANILA 14 July 2020 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. and Hungarian Ambassador József Bencze signed the Framework Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the Government of Hungary on 13 July 2020 at the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The event was witnessed by Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for European Affairs Ma. Amelita Aquino, Acting Director for Central Europe Jeffrey Valdez, and Economic Counsellor Gábor Lehöcz of the Hungarian Embassy.

The Agreement will facilitate the expansion of technical cooperation between the two countries and allow the Philippines to access grants and loans offered by Hungary for technical cooperation projects, particularly in the areas of sustainable development, water treatment management, agriculture, education, and sports.
