DFA Repatriates 312 Overseas Filipinos from Qatar

PASAY CITY 17 July 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), through the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs (OUMWA), continues to bring home distressed Filipinos from Qatar.

The latest batch of repatriates, comprised of 312 Overseas Filipinos, arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 via Philippine Airlines flight PR 685.

The 312 Filipino repatriates underwent the appropriate medical protocols upon arrival as required by the Department of Health-Bureau of Quarantine. They would also be required to undergo quarantine in accordance with the omnibus guidelines established by the Inter-Agency Task Force.

The whole-of-nation approach to repatriation involves the DFA coordinating with the Philippine Coast Guard, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Department of Tourism, Department of Health and the Philippine National Police. END
