DFA Consular Office in Iloilo Celebrates Third Decade of Public Service

Third Decade of Public Service 1

ILOILO CITY 10 July 2020 – With the theme: “Service Beyond Limits”, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office (CO) in Iloilo celebrated its 30th year on 09 July 2020 at its office in Robinsons Place Iloilo.

It was initially established as a Passport Extension Office to provide passport services to the residents of Iloilo and its neighboring provinces. Presently, it provides passport services, Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) services and attends to clients seeking to avail themselves of civil registration services.

To celebrate its third decade of serving the public, and in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, 30 rubbing alcohol bottles were handed to the first 30 passport applicants with confirmed appointments. Between passport processing steps, clients were also given the chance to express their thoughts and thanks on a message board.

Proper physical distancing measures and health protocols were observed during the consular office’s celebration.

Consular Office Iloilo personnel also had the option to temporarily set a customized“ DFA CO ILOILO @ 30” frame on their respective social media accounts to commemorate the occasion.

In the Department’s partnership with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), this is the consular office’s fourth location since its establishment. END
