DFA Consular Office in La Union Participates in CY 2020 3rd Regular EDSECOM Meeting

LA UNION 27 July 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office (CO) in La Union participated in the CY 2020 3rd Regular Economic Development Sectoral Committee (EDSECOM) Meeting on 22 July 2020 at the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office-1 (DA-RFO 1) City of San Fernando, La Union. Participants were also encouraged to attend through virtual conferencing.
The National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) discussed the Economic Sector Highlights of Accomplishment for CY 209, Regional Recovery Plan, Luzon Agricultural Technology and Innovation for High Value Crops in Luzon, Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa Program and other updates on economic initiatives.
DA-RFO-1 also presented the updates on the Local Price Coordinating Councils initiatives.
Presided by EDSECOM Chair and DA-RFO-1 Regional Executive Director Dir. Lucrecio R. Alviar, Jr., the meeting was attended by more than 30 representatives from its member agencies.
Information Officer Christian Kelvin C. Gonzales represented the Consular Office in the meeting online. END
