53 Filipinos in Thailand Going Home Today

BANGKOK 15 August 2020 – A total of 53 Filipinos went home from Thailand on 15 August 2020 via an outbound flight made available to the Filipino community by Philippine Airlines (PAL) Thailand.

The returning Filipinos were sent off by PAL Thailand Area Manager Aileen Santos at Suvarnabhumi Airport and a team from the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, led by Consul General Val Roque. The Embassy team facilitated the departure of the passengers, which included assistance to a kababayan who had a passport issue.

The latest batch of returnees brings the total number of repatriates from Thailand assisted by the Philippine Government to 1,452.

The inbound PAL flight, which was the first of two Thai repatriation flights for the 15th and 29th of August 2020 arranged by the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila, also brought back to Thailand 11 Filipinos with Thai Certificates of Entry for working and living in the Kingdom. END
