DFA Consular Office in La Union Participates in Region 1 Inter-Agency Task Force, Regional Task Force-1 Against COVID-19 Meeting

LA UNION 24 August 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office (CO) in La Union participated in the Region 1 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) and Regional Task Force-1 Against COVID-19 meeting held at the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Regional Office-1, City of San Fernando, La Union on 19 August 2020. The meeting was made accessible online via Zoom for those who were unable to physically attend.

Consular Office Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Grace M. Bañez and Information Officer Christian Kelvin C. Gonzales attended the meeting online.

The Department of Health (DOH) and IATF presented COVID-19 updates in the region, while the body discussed the Executive Orders of the Provincial Governments of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union on the implementation of Community Quarantine in their respective provinces.

For their part, the Regional Task Force (RTF) presented the implementation of the National Action Plan Against COVID-19 Phase II. END
