DFA Receives Donations from LTG, Inc for Lebanon
PARAÑAQUE CITY 24 September 2020 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), represented by Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs Sarah Lou Y. Arriola, received from the Lucio Tan Group of Companies (LTG, Inc.), represented by PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Gilbert Santa Maria, a total of 3,000 boxes of surgical masks, 27,500 face shields and 1,000 boxes of Vitamin C in a simple ceremony held at NAIA Cargo Terminal today.
The donations from LTG, Inc. will be added to the 5,000 boxes of relief goods that the DFA will bring to Lebanon on board the DFA-chartered repatriation flight tomorrow.
The DFA-chartered flight is expected to bring home around 300 distressed Filipinos from Lebanon. The repatriation team will be led by Chief of Presidential Protocol and Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs Robert Eric A. Borje.
Also present at the turnover ceremony were Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Enrico Fos and PAL Cargo Vice President Jason Siy. END
