TACLOBAN 24 September 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office (CO) in Tacloban observed the 17th Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection (CPAP) Week from 16 to 22 September through a public awareness campaign.

The Consular Office uploaded the official CPAP banner designed by the National Council on Disability Affairs on its TV monitors at the consular area bearing the theme, “Ugnayan, Malasakit at Paglingap sa mga Taong May Cerebral Palsy sa Panahon ng COVID-19 Pandemic”. A video was also shown at the consular area for public viewing to raise awareness on the needs of people with Cerebral Palsy. A news feature was also presented about the celebration, highlighting some interventions and programs that can help people with cerebral palsy be protected from discrimination and also become functional members of the community.
