Secretary Locsin Meets with Acquitted OFW Rose Policarpio

PASAY CITY 01 October 2020 — Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. warmly received today Ms. Rose Policarpio, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who was acquitted of murder charges that carries the death penalty in Saudi Arabia.

Secretary Locsin was delighted to see OFW Policarpio and wished her success as she embarks on a new chapter in her life.

In return, OFW Policarpio expressed her profound gratitude to Secretary Locsin and to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) for all the assistance provided to her to secure her acquittal and eventual release from detention. “Hindi po nagpabaya ang gobyerno”, she said. END (Photos by Nilo Palaya)
