DFA Consular Office Pampanga Celebrates the 31st National Statistics Month, World Statistics Day 2020

PAMPANGA 26 October 2020 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Consular Office (CO) in Pampanga supported the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in its celebration of the 31st National Statistics Month (NSM) and the 3rd World Statistics Day (WSD) with its respective themes, “Bridging Digital Gaps: Making Information Available to All” and “Connecting The World with Data We Can Trust”.
The AVP and e-Poster of the World Statistics Day celebration was displayed on the TV screens in the public areas of the consular office on 20 October 2020 until the end of the month in order to inform and instill consciousness on the significance and value of statistics to different sectors of society.
CO Pampanga also submitted an entry to the PSA Region 3’s Infographic Making Contest. The infographic presented statistical information gathered from the PSA’s website about data on Overseas Filipino Workers in 2019 – categorized by gender, occupation, region of origin, and destination of work – as these details are vital in the Department’s line of service, specifically in its Assistance-To-Nationals (ATN) efforts and initiatives. The infographic entry was created by Information Assistant and Passport Processor Anthony D. Yambao.
CO Pampanga reaffirmed its support to the Philippine Statistics Authority’s efforts in highlighting the importance of accurate, transparent, and trustworthy data available to all and underscored the importance of statistics in pursuit of effective public service for Filipinos here and abroad. END
