Secretary Locsin, Secretary Lorenzana meet U.S. Acting Secretary of Defense Miller

08 December 2020 - Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. joined Secretary of National Defense Delfin N. Lorenzana and Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Gilbert I. Gapay in a joint meeting with visiting U.S. Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher C. Miller.

The senior officials renewed each side’s commitment to the alliance while continuing discussions to further strengthen their defense and security cooperation.

Secretary Locsin and Secretary Lorenzana also expressed appreciation for the continued support of the U.S. Government for the modernization program of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, including the recent deliveries and turnover of precision guided munitions, sniper rifles, and bomb detection kits.
