HRMO Launches First-Ever Global Conference of DFA Administrative Officers

PASAY CITY 22 February 2021 – The Department of Foreign Affairs - Human Resources Management Office (DFA-HRMO) launched the first-ever Global Conference of Administrative Officers, attended by almost 180 personnel from Home Office units, Consular Offices (COs), and Foreign Service Posts (FSPs) on 15 February 2021.
In his remarks, HRMO Assistant Secretary Antonio Morales, expressed his confidence in the resiliency of administrative officers. He described the current realities as volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous and called on the participants to face the challenge with vision, understanding, clarity, and agility. In his remarks read by Senior Special Assistant Gines Gallaga, Undersecretary for Administration J. Eduardo Malaya underscored the strong link of administrative officers to effective communication, teamwork, and collaboration amongst your peers in Home Office, Consular Offices and Foreign Service.
In a pre-recorded video message, Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. acknowledged the commitment of administrative officers in advancing the Department’s goals and targets. He emphasized that the Department has counted on the performance of administrative officers as taskmasters; a virtuoso in a lot of fields.
During the second part of the program, the Benefits and Wellness Division of HRMO updated the participants on developments relating to the Department’s personnel. END
