PH, Denmark Vow Stronger Cooperation in Human Rights, Trade and Investment, Tourism, and Maritime Concerns

PASAY CITY 26 February 2021 — The Philippine delegation, led by Acting Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs Elizabeth P. Buensuceso, and Denmark’s side vowed stronger cooperation between the two countries during the second Philippines-Denmark Bilateral Consultations held via teleconference on 23 February 2021, marking the start of the year-long celebration of 75 years of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Denmark.
The two sides affirmed their commitment to strengthen collaboration in various areas of mutual interest, such as human rights, trade and investment, tourism, maritime concerns, and addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. Other topics discussed during the bilateral consultations include climate change, migration, and the status of Filipino nurses and au pairs in Denmark. END
