DFA Participates in DepEd’s “Digital Transformation in the Age of COVID-19: International Engagements from the Old Normal to the New Normal” Webinar

PASAY CITY 23 February 2021 – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), represented by Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Affairs Junever M. Mahilum-West, gave the keynote speech during the Department of Education’s (DepEd) webinar entitled, “Digital Transformation in the Age of COVID-19: International Engagements from the Old Normal to the New Normal”, on 16 February 2021.
“Technology will only keep on improving, and it is up to us how to make it work for us, especially in times of crises,” said Assistant Secretary Mahilum-West. She also shared the Department’s experience in transitioning from the old normal to the new normal, particularly on how the pandemic affected organizing and attending international meetings and events, access to training and seminars, and even Ambassadors’ presentations of credentials. The audience was composed of DepEd teachers from all over the Philippines. END
