DFA Welcomes 279 Repatriates Onboard Chartered Flight From Kuwait

04 MARCH 2021 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) welcomed the arrival of 279 OFWs from Kuwait onboard a DFA funded chartered flight. This is the first chartered flight from Kuwait for 2021 facilitated by the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait (Kuwait PE) in line with the Department's continuing commitment to bring home our kababayans amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. 

“With this repatriation mission, we will continue to bring hope and light to all our kababayan abroad during this trying times." said the DFA OUMWA Undersecretary Sarah Lou Y. Arriola

All 279 repatriates arrived in high spirits and relieved that they will be returning to their longing family.  They all underwent proper briefing on the mandatory health protocols and were immediately ushered to waiting buses that will take them to a hotel quarantine facility. END
