DFA La Union Finds New Home at CSI Mall

LA UNION 15 June 2021 — The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) - Office of Consular Affairs, represented by Foreign Affairs Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Affairs Brigido J. Dulay, and the City Supermarket Incorporated (CSI) Group of Companies, represented by Marketing Manager Jeselito F. Seen signed an Agreement for the hosting of the DFA’s Consular Office in La Union at the CSI Mall in San Fernando City, La Union in a virtual ceremony on 10 June 2021.
The new consular office, located on the 2nd Floor of CSI Mall in Barangay Biday, San Fernando City, La Union, opened to the public on 14 June 2021 and will serve its applicants for passport and assistance-to-nationals (ATN) services from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Undersecretary Dulay said that the agreement with CSI Mall is a good example of Private-Public Partnership (PPP), and took the opportunity to announce that CO La Union will begin offering authentication services very soon, thereby expanding the service it provides to the public.
The DFA’s Consular Office in La Union was first opened on 18 June 1985 in San Fernando City, La Union. It was the fourth Consular Office that the DFA established, following the opening of the offices in Cebu, Zamboanga and Davao. END
