DFA CO Legazpi Drives Community Support for National Cooperative Month 2025 in Legazpi City and Camalig, Albay

LEGAZPI 03 November 2025 — In support of Cooperative Month 2025, CO Legazpi through its Cooperative—the Regional Consular Office Bicol Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (RCOBEMPC) actively participated in the National Celebration of Cooperative Month.

RCOBEMPC, in partnership with the City Cooperative Development Office of Legazpi City and the Cooperative Development Authority of Albay conducted a community outreach program featuring the distribution of groceries and essential items. The initiative benefited Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Legazpi City and Senior Citizens in the Municipality of Camalig, reinforcing the cooperative spirit of service, solidarity, and volunteerism.

The outreach activity embodies this year’s national theme for Cooperative Month: “Cooperative United in Purpose and Action, Sharing Prosperity to Build a Better World.” By uniting in purpose and collaborating in action, CO Legazpi and its cooperative demonstrated their commitment to sharing prosperity and improving the welfare of vulnerable groups within the community.
