23 September 2014 - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in partnership with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), inaugurated the new DFA Regional Consular Office (RCO) Puerto Princesa in Robinsons Place Palawan on September 12. It is the 12th regional consular office to transfer to the mall under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Program of the Government.
DFA Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns Rafael E. Seguis led the inauguration of the new DFA RCO Puerto Princesa office. He was accompanied by Assistant Secretary Wilfredo C. Santos (Office of Consular Affairs), Special Assistant Roy Ecraela (Office of the Undersecretary for Civilian Security and Consular Concerns), Assistant Director Von Ryan G. Pangwi (Passport Division), Ms. Joan Alonzo and Mr. Chester Semaňa of the Regional Consular Officers Coordinating Center (RCOCC).
Palawan Vice Governor Dennis Socrates, Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron, heads of government agencies in Puerto Princesa and Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC) executives headed by Mr. Irving Wu (Operations Director for Luzon) graced the occasion.
Ms. Liza Jane V. Estalilla, Officer-in-Charge of DFARCO Puerto Princesa, and her staff welcomed the guests to their new Office.
The transfer of DFA RCO Puerto Princesa to its new location at Robinsons Place Palawan aims to provide a more comfortable, accessible and convenient location with world class and client-friendly consular services to residents of Puerto Princesa City and other municipalities of the Province of Palawan. The Office is open to the public from Monday to Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (without lunch break). END
