08 November 2014 – Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert F. del Rosario addressed the meeting of US CEOs organized by the National Center for APEC (NCAPEC), as keynote speaker at its 20th Anniversary Luncheon. The NCAPEC is a US-based business association of Fortune 500 CEOs focused exclusively on private-sector engagement in APEC. Secretary Del Rosario spoke alongside US Secretary of State John Kerry.

Secretary Del Rosario’s keynote address highlighted the Aquino administration’s commitment to good governance in sustaining the Philippines’ growth momentum. He went on to explain that this commitment will be deepened in APEC 2015 through the Philippines’ work on commonly shared priority areas within APEC such as human capital development, SMEs’ participation in global markets, building sustainable and resilient communities, and facilitating investment and trade.

Recognizing the role that business plays in achieving APEC’s goals, he congratulated NCAPEC for its high-impact contributions to APEC’s objectives of trade and investment liberalization, business facilitation, and technical cooperation.

The NCAPEC is an annual event that is held within the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting (AELM). END
