27 December 2017 LOS ANGELES — The Philippine Consulate General joined parishes across Los Angeles at the Simbang Gabi and the 15th Annual Parade of Parols (Lanterns) held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels located in downtown Los Angeles on December 15.

Most Reverend Jose H. Gomez, Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, led the Eucharistic celebration with the auxiliary bishops and clerics of Los Angeles.  This year’s event was held under the auspices of the Filipino Ministry of San Pedro Region in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, with the theme “Jesus, Light for our shepherds, with Mary, lead us all to holiness” (Hesus, Tanglaw para sa aming mga pastol, kasama ni Maria, akayin mo kaming’ lahat sa kabanalan).

The Philippine Consulate General joined the different parish ministries, Catholic associations, and civic and non-governmental organizations in the Parade of Parols (star lanterns) that heralded the Eucharistic celebration. END
