PH Consulate General in Macau Spearhead 2018 Parol Making Tilt

PHOTO: The Philippine Consulate General in Macau organized a parol (Christmas lanterns)-making contest during the recently concluded Paskong Pinoy sa Macau with the Filipino Community on 02 December 2018 at the Chan Meng Kam Theatre, with the theme “Makisaya sa Himig at Liwanag Ngayong Pasko.”

Fourteen Filipino Community organizations joined the parol-making contest. They showcased their creative talents by using recycled materials like candy wrappers, soda cans, mussel shells, and bottles.

The top prize was nabbed by the Nueva Ecija Association of Macau with a parol made of mussel shells and artificial beads. The second and third prize were awarded to Alpha Kappa Rho Fraternity & Sorority Organization and Pastoral Family & Life, respectively. (Macau PCG photo)
