Philippine Center in New York Marks Philippine Independence Day
Philippine officials hold a flag-raising ceremony in front of the Philippine Center on 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
19 June 2017 NEW YORK – The Philippine Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, the Philippine Consulate General in New York, the Philippine Tourism Office, the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, Pag-IBIG Mutual Fund, and the Philippine Center Management Board — resident government offices at the Philippine Center in New York held a joint flag-raising ceremony, program, and fellowship breakfast on June 12.
Led by Permanent Representative to the UN Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr., Consul General Theresa Dizon-De Vega, Tourism Representative Azucena Pallugna, Pag-Ibig Officer Michael Azucena, and Philippine Center Manager Arman Talbo, the program included the reading of the National Day messages of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alan Peter S. Cayetano.
