PHL Embassy in Oslo Joins New Filipino Working Group in Celebrating 119th Phl Independence Day
19 June 2017 OSLO — The Philippine Embassy in Oslo joined the New Filipino Working Group (NFWG) in celebrating the 119th Philippine Independence Day at St. Hanshaugen Park.
Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. Maria Elena P. Algabre delivered the Independence Day Message of Secretary of Foreign Affairs Alan Peter S. Cayetano.
The Filipino community in Oslo enjoyed an afternoon of games, song and dance presentations, and Filipino cuisine served by participating booths. The Philippine Embassy booth gave away Oishi products and tourism brochures.
The highlight of the celebration was the search for Mrs. Kalayaan 2017. The contestants represented the different Filipino communities in Norway.
