Philippine Flag Unfurled on Parliament Hill

23 June 2017 OTTAWA — The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa participated in the fifth annual unfurling and raising of the Philippine flag on the iconic Parliament Hill of Canada's capital. The event was hosted by Filipino-Canadian Senator Tobias Enverga, Jr. who was joined in the event by MP Larry Maguire and MP David Graham. Deputy Chief of Mission Francisco Noel Fernandez III led the Philippine Embassy contingent. Delegations from the Filipino communities in Toronto and Montreal participated with the Filipino community in Ottawa in this annual event. A cultural program was held inside the Canadian Parliament after the unfurling of the flag, showcasing talents from the Filipino-Canadian community in Canada.
