PH Embassy, Filipino Community in Laos Commemorate Independence Day

VIENTIANE 17 July 2018 – The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane, Laos held a flag-raising ceremony with the Filipino Community in Laos on 12 June 2018, in celebration of the 120th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine independence.
The event was attended by over 30 members of the Filipino Community.
In her Independence Day message, Ambassador to Laos Belinda M. Ante stressed the importance of cooperation and camaraderie among Filipinos. The Ambassador also reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to extend any possible assistance to Filipinos in Laos, especially to those who are in distress.
The flag-raising ceremony was followed by a simple Filipino breakfast, where adobo, longganisa, fried eggs, itlog na maalat, pandesal, and tsokolate were served. END
