Deputy Chief of Mission Mardomel Celo Melicor read the message of Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, which reminded all Filipinos of their duty to the country and appealed to those in foreign service and overseas to continue working together for a better and progressive future of the country.
The theme for this year’s celebration “Kalayaan 2019: Courage of the Nation, Compassion for the people” encapsulated the President’s call for unity and commitment to the country.
A hearty breakfast of puto, corned beef in a baguette, quiche and fruits ended the Embassy’s celebration.
