03 January 2018 DOHA – The Philippine Embassy in Doha held a short program at the Embassy grounds and at Sentro Rizal, respectively, on 30 December 2017 in commemoration of the 121st Martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal.
In his welcome remarks, Philippine Embassy Charge d’affaires, a.i. Thereafter, Nel Ezekiel Ambaic, a student of the Philippine School Doha (PSD), clothed as a young Rizal, rendered a heartfelt declamation piece.
The Philippine Embassy hosted a traditional Filipino breakfast consisting of lugaw, pan de sal, coffee, and boiled eggs after which the little binibinis and ginoos were ushered to the Embassy’s Sentro Rizal for the story-telling activity. The interactive story-telling of the book “Dalawang Bayani ng Bansa” was facilitated by Teacher Grace Alicamen, a Grade Four Language Teacher of the PSD and joined by the students from PSD, including children of Embassy personnel.
