PHL Embassy in Rome Celebrates International Women’s Day

The Philippine Embassy in Rome together with the Filipino community in Italy celebrated the International Women’s Day with a short program at the Embassy’s consular section on March 08. Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo Nolasco underscores the big contribution of women in the society and explains the Magna Carta of Women, the comprehensive women’s human rights law that seeks to eliminate discrimination against women and to protect the rights of Filipino women. He also calls on men and women to step up and contribute towards gender equality.
