PHL Consulate General Launches 12th Ambassador’s Tour

13 March 2018 AGANA – The Philippine Consulate General in Agana launched the 12th Ambassador’s Tour to the Philippines during the International Women’s Day or Philippine National Women’s Month celebration on March 08 at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa.
Philippine Consul General Marciano R. de Borja encouraged Filipinos and Guamanians to join this year’s tour to be held in Manila, Cebu and Bohol on July 09 to 15.The Department of Tourism has designed the program to provide guests with insights on Philippine culture, history and lifestyle. The program opens and closes with lively Gala Dinners featuring live music and ballroom dancing.
Since 2005, Guam has sent already more than a hundred participants, which included Filipinos and Filipino-Americans, including Guam government officials and political leaders, business people, teachers and students, all of whom have enjoyed the unique group travel experience that the tour offered. At the tenth edition of the Tour in 2015, Guam’s 35 participants was the second biggest delegation after Hawaii.
Consul General de Borja said that the Consulate General’s goal is to double the number of participants from Guam compared to the past programs.
