27 June 2013 - The Philippine junior football team (players under 15 years old) notched its first win in the 2013 Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Frenz ASEAN Champions following a convincing 3-0 victory against host Brunei Darussalam.

The match was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium on June 22.

Philippine Embassy officials, led by Ambassador Nestor Z. Ochoa and Mrs. Mayie E. Ochoa, as well as members of the Filipino community in Brunei Darussalam, were on hand to lend full support to the Philippine football team which entered the game as decided underdogs against the heavily favored hosts.

Drawing inspiration from a small but boisterous and supportive Filipino crowd, the Junior Azkals totally controlled the match from the start and cruised to a convincing victory. END
