Norwegian Ambassador Pays a Virtual Courtesy Call on PH Ambassador to Myanmar

YANGON 13 October 2020 – Norwegian Ambassador to Myanmar Hilde Solbakken paid an introductory virtual call on Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Eduardo E. Kapunan, Jr. on 09 October 2020 via Skype.

Ambassador Kapunan warmly welcomed Ambassador Solbakken to Myanmar.

Both Ambassadors spoke on the importance of the strong friendship between the Philippines and Norway especially when facing uncertain times. Ambassador Kapunan assured Ambassador Solbakken that the Philippine Embassy is always prepared to work with the Norwegian Embassy in multiple areas of cooperation with Myanmar.

Prior to her appointment to Myanmar, Ambassador Solbakken served as Senior Advisor to the Ocean Team and Section for Business Relations and Private Sector Development of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She has also been deployed to Jakarta, Indonesia; Nairobi Kenya; New York, USA; Washington DC, USA and Amman, Jordan in various capacities. END
