PH Ambassador to Canada Welcomes Participants to POLO-Toronto Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar for New Brunswick-Based OFWs

OTTAWA 16 November 2020 – Philippine Ambassador to Canada Rodolfo D. Robles welcomed participants to the virtual Post-Arrival Orientation Seminar (PAOS) hosted by the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Toronto for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) based in New Brunswick on 14 November 2020.
The Ambassador expressed his pleasure in meeting the New Brunswick-based Filipino workers virtually, and commended POLO-Toronto for hosting the meeting.
Representatives from the Embassy and different attached agencies such as the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Social Security System (SSS), and PAG-IBIG provided the OFWs with information on the different government services available to them. Ms. Katie Noonan of the New Brunswick Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour also briefed the OFWs on the province’s employment standards. END
