LOS ANGELES 10 November 2020 – In line with the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles’ “gastrodiplomacy” project dubbed, “#LALovEat: Pinoy Food Stories” and in celebration of Filipino-American History Month, Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Adelio Angelito S. Cruz visited the Manila District Los Angeles event space on 08 November 2020.

Manila District Los Angeles established FIL(ipino)LED Market in July 2020 to provide a venue for Filipino-American-owned small enterprises, especially food establishments, whose operations were adversely affected by pandemic-induced community quarantines.  This marketplace has been going on every weekend from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Manila District Los Angeles’ event space located at 1801 E 7th St. Los Angeles, California 90021.

Consul General Cruz was joined by his family and some officers and staff of the Consulate General, officers from the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC), Philippine Department of Tourism-Los Angeles (PDOT-LA), Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), Social Security System (SSS) – South California, and the Office of the Police Attaché-Liaison Office on the U.S. West Coast (OPA-LOWC) during the said visit.
