PH Embassy in The Hague Kick-Starts the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women
The Philippine Embassy in The Hague opened its campaign on the 18-day advocacy campaign to End Violence Against Women on 25 November 2020, with a flag raising ceremony. Second Secretary and Consul and GAD Focal Point Person, Ms. Ma. Theresa M. Alders, provides an overview of the campaign and encourage Embassy personnel’s support in the GAD activities of the Embassy.
Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. Lolita B. Capco talks about compassion and concern toward victims and survivors, and provided information on the Department’s initiatives and support to the Philippine Commission on Women and the Philippine Government’s thrust in fighting gender-based violence. The program ended with the reading of the free-verse poetry VAW in the Workplace.
In keeping with the color orange motif for the campaign, incidentally the royal color of the House of Orange-Nassau of the Netherlands, the Philippine Embassy in The Hague boosts its information dissemination activities by prominently displaying VAW-related information materials.
