PARIS 18 January 2021 – The Philippine Embassy in Paris received 700 packs of personal protective supplies from Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) Western Europe district on 08 January 2021.

Each pack contained a bottle of hand sanitizer, face masks and a box of vitamin C tablets intended for distribution to all consular applicants, most especially to Filipino clients who make up the majority of the Embassy’s constituency.  The donation is part of the INC’s Lingap sa Mamayan (Aid to Humanity) program that aims to provide assistance to those in need and people affected by calamities and disaster.

During the ceremonial hand-over held at the Philippine Embassy, Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim Aileen S. Mendiola-Rau expressed appreciation for INC’s efforts in reaching out to Filipinos in France to contribute to their safety and well-being, in light of the COVID-19  pandemic.

Chargé d’Affaires A Mendiola-Rau noted that despite the continued lockdown in France, the Embassy has reassured the Filipino community of its continued delivery of consular services and assistance to the public by adopting alternative operational arrangements to ensure that services are continuously conducted with precaution and safety.

Lingap sa Mamamayan (Aid to Humanity) is one of INC’s humanitarian programs that started in 1981.  Its current program has extended its assistance worldwide since 31 October 2020, under the auspices of INC’s socio-civic arm, Felix Y. Manalo Foundation. END
