XIAMEN 05 May 2021 — Philippine Consulate General in Xiamen Acting Head of Post Elaine Mae V. Laruan-Hernandez, Political & Economic Officer Faith Bautista, and Local Hire Chunyan Yang visited the Zhangzhou Stronghold Steel Works Co. Ltd on 06 April 2021.

Zhangzhou Stronghold is a 100% Filipino-owned Company under the JTKC Group of Companies of the Tiu family in the Philippines. Zhangzhou Stronghold entered the China market in 2005 and started exporting to Europe in 2007.

The 2008 slump of the steel industry did not deter Zhangzhou Stronghold as they came up with innovative ways to survive the market.

Managing Director Myra Cua narrates that the Company is now looking at the expansion of its facilities in Zhangzhou in the year 2022 and beyond.  It hopes to build a port of its own at the 53 hectare facility located at the China Merchants Zhangzhou Development Zone. END
