PH Consulate General in Macau Conducts 20th Repatriation Flight, Approaches 4 Thousand Filipinos Repatriated

MACAU SAR, 05 August 2021 – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR successfully conducted its 20th repatriation flight from Macau on 03 August 2021. The flight carried 202 Filipinos home, bringing the total number of Filipinos who benefited from the Consulate’s repatriation program to a total of 3,995 Filipinos.
Leading the Consulate’s Team at the airport, Philippine Consul General to Macau SAR Porfirio M. Mayo, Jr. assured all Filipinos in Macau that the Consulate will continue to assist all Filipinos in Macau who intend to return to the Philippines. “Tuloy-tuloy po ang assistance ng Consulate sa lahat ng Pilipino sa Macau na nais umuwi ng Pilipinas,” said Consul General Mayo.
Since March 2020, the Consulate has organized twenty (20) repatriation flights to bring home Filipinos in Macau negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 3,995
Filipinos have since been repatriated and the next repatriation flight to be organized will bring the total of Filipinos repatriated from Macau to well over four thousand.
Consul General Mayo thanked the Macau SAR Government for its cooperation in making the Consulate’s repatriation program possible.
