PH Ambassador Pays Farewell Call on Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain

MANAMA 10 August 2021 – Philippine Ambassador Alfonso A. Ver paid a farewell call on 04 August 2021 on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, as the former is ending his tour of duty as the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.     

Present during the call was the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdullah bin Rashid Al-Mudailawi. Also present during the meeting was the MFA’s Chief of Afro-Asian Affairs Ambassador Fatima Abdulla Al-Dhaen

During the meeting, Ambassador Ver expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Minister Al-Zayani, as well as, to all officials of the Government of Bahrain for the support and cooperation extended to him during his tenure. He attributed the tremendous strides and the number of successes achieved during his term as Philippine Ambassador to Bahrain, to the friendly stance of the Kingdom towards the Philippines.  Ambassador Ver wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.

For his part, the Foreign Minister expressed pride and appreciation for the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines, which are based on respect and mutual appreciation. FM Al-Zayani extolled the efforts of the Embassy under Ambassador Ver’s able leadership, which contributed to further development of bilateral relations and cooperation for the benefit of the two friendly countries and people.

At the conclusion of the call, FM Al-Zayani presented a commemorative gift to Ambassador Alfonso A. Ver, wishing him success in his future endeavors. END
