PH Consulate General in Macau Conducts 21st Repatriation Flight, Bringing Total Repatriated Filipinos to 4,200

Macau SAR, 16 August 2021 – The Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR successfully conducted on 13 August its 21st repatriation flight from Macau. The flight carried 205 Filipinos home and brought the total number of Filipinos who benefited from the Consulate’s repatriation program to a total of 4,200 Filipinos.
Philippine Consul General to Macau SAR Porfirio M. Mayo, Jr. lead the Consulate’s Team at the airport. He assured all Filipinos in Macau that the Consulate will continue to assist all Filipinos in Macau who intend to return to the Philippines and invited those intent to return home to register with the Consulate. “Bukas po ang ating registration para makasama sa repatriation. Inaanyayahan ko po ang ating mga kababayan sa Macau na mag-rehistro upang maka-uwi. Magpapatuloy po ang assistance ng Consulate sa lahat ng Pilipino sa Macau na nais umuwi ng Pilipinas,” said Consul General Mayo.

Since March 2020, the Consulate has organized 21 repatriation flights that has brought home a total of 4,200 Filipinos in Macau negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Assistance on quarantine, swab testing and transportation is being provided to those who joined the repatriation flight by the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Region III (OWWA Region III) through the coordination of the Office of Labor Attaché Ma. Nena German and Welfare Officer Zosima Maria Santos of POLO-OWWA Macau. END
