Muscat-farewell call of the Ambassador1

10 July 2013 - Philippine Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman Joselito A. Jimeno made a farewell call to Foreign Affairs Secretary General Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al-Busaidi on July 03. 

 

During the farewell call, Ambassador Jimeno thanked the Secretary General for his friendship during his stint as Philippine Ambassador to Oman and expressed his appreciation of the Ministry’s support to enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

In response, the Secretary General also thanked Ambassador Jimeno for his efforts and expressed hope that with the opening of the Omani Embassy in Manila, relations between the two countries will reach new heights.

Ambassador Jimeno also called on the Dean of Diplomatic Corps, Qatari Ambassador Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al-Khateron July 02 to formally inform the latter of the end of his tour of duty.  Ambassador Al-Khater extended his good wishes to Ambassador Jimeno.

On July 08, Ambassador Jimeno hosted the 4th Meeting of the ASEAN Committee in Muscat (ACM), during which he also bid the ASEAN Ambassadors farewell and thanked them for the warm camaraderie during his tenure in the Sultanate of Oman.  Ambassador Jimeno will depart from Muscat on August 06.  END
